Short info about one of the four Celtic cross-quarter festivals.
Imbolc (February 1) is one of the four Celtic cross‑quarter festivals, along with Beltane (May 1), Lughnasadh (August 1), and Samhain (November 1). These fall roughly halfway between the solstices and equinoxes.
Imbolc, also known as St. Brigid’s Day, traditionally marks the start of spring. In Christian tradition it honors Ireland’s patron saint, while in Gaelic tradition it is linked with renewal and the return of light after winter.
